Privacy Policy

Last updated October 9, 2026. West Texas FGC (westtexasfgc.com) is a free community site run by Soulve for the fighting game community in Lubbock and West Texas. It has no ads and sells nothing, and nothing you give it is sold or shared for marketing.

What you can do without an account

Browsing the site needs no account. Your preferences (effects level, game mode, saved events, whether you have seen the intro) are kept only in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us.

Signing in

You can sign in with an emailed one-time code, with Google, or with start.gg. Depending on the method we receive and store:

• Email code: your email address. Codes are sent through our email provider (Resend).
• Google: your email address and Google account ID (scopes: openid, email). We do not receive your password, contacts or anything else in your Google account.
• start.gg: your start.gg user ID, gamer tag and email, so your account can be linked to your public tournament results.

We keep a session cookie so you stay signed in. It is used only for this site.

Other things you may send us

• Reminders and notifications: if you turn them on, your browser's push subscription (or email) so we can remind you about events. You can turn them off at any time.
• Event submissions, requests and profile details: whatever you type into those forms, so staff can review and publish them.

Public tournament data

Results, placements, gamer tags and character picks shown on the site come from public brackets on start.gg and Round1 and from organizers. If you want a name changed or hidden, contact us below.

Visitor counts

To count how many people visit, your browser keeps a random code (nothing about you, no cookie) and sends it once a day; the footer total counts each code once. The site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.

Where it is stored

The site runs on Cloudflare; account data is stored in Cloudflare's database and storage services. Access is limited to the site owner and the staff tools the site uses.

Removing your information

You can sign out, unlink start.gg and turn off reminders from your account page. To delete your account and the information stored with it, email ramman41@gmail.com or message Soulve in the West Texas FGC Discord, and it will be removed.

Children

The site is meant for a general audience and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes and contact
